All things pink

Ég elska bleikan lit. Ef ég sé bleika flík í verslun - helst "vintage" þá bara verð ég að máta! Fjólublár er í öðru sæti... og þessir tveir litir saman... Ég segi ekki meir! Leðurjakki og bleikur kjóll er líklega fegursta samsetning sem ég veit um. Heklaði bútakjóllinn á mynd númer þrjú er frá Aftur og ég er búin að eiga hann í nokkur ár. Ég dáist mjög mikið að honum, geng samt ekki oft í honum en ég myndi aldrei losa mig við hann. Nú langar mig að hafa allt bleikt inni hjá mér... Veggina, húsgögnin og matarstellið. Auðveld leið til að bæta bleiku við heimilið er að fjárfesta í bleikum rúmfötum - Það er ekki erfitt á karlmannslausu heimili ;)

I love pink. If I see a pink piece of clothing in a store - preferable vintage, I have to try it on. Purple is in second place... put these two colors together... say no more. A pink dress worn with a leather jacket is probably the most perfect combination I can think of. The crochet dress on the third photo is from Icelandic label Aftur and I've had it for some years. I admire it more than I wear it but I would never get rid of it. Right now I want everything to be pink in my appartment... The walls, the furniture and the china. An easy way to add a pink to your home is to invest in pink bed linen - Not so difficult when there is no man in the house ;)

Mér finnst of alveg rosalega erfitt að velja eitthvað handa öðrum og stend mig að því þegar ég er að versla að skoða og máta það sem mig sjálfa langar í!  Ég vil helst bara fá að vita nákvæmlega hvað fólk óskar sér... en það er auðvitað ekki eins gaman og að koma vinum og fjölskyldu skemmtilega á óvart. It can be kind of hard picking out good presents for others... I tend to pick out and try on things that I want myself while I should be shopping for others. Christmas shopping

Nokkrar jólagjafahugmyndir. Þessi reykskynjari er algjör dúlla og einmitt það sem mig vantar. Ég dýrka ilmkerti og ekki spillir ef þau eru í fallegum glösum eins og þessi frá Byredo og Voluspa. Skemillinn frá Indiska myndi passa eins og flís við rass inn í litlu íbúðina mína... og þessi Le Creuset panna! Hún er lífstíðareign :) Gleðileg jólagjafa innkaup ;)

Just a few xmas present ideas. The pink smoke detector is the cutest thing and just what my home needs. I love scented candles, especially when they come in such pretty glass jars as these from Byredo and Voluspa. The little stool would fit perfectly into my tiny appartment...and the skillet, now that is a lifelong asset. Happy shopping ;)

Keffiyeh clothes

Föt úr Keffiyeh klútum eða arabaklútum hafa verið að birtast hér og þar undanfarið. Cool að sjá þetta efni í fatnaði fyrir konur og í alls konar litum, þar sem þessir klútar eru vanalega bornir af karlmönnum í arabalöndum. Þetta er líka ótrúlega mjúkt og kósý efni. Er alveg til í eina svona flík :)

Keffiyeh Arab scarfs have been crawling out of the woodwork lately - not only as scarfs but clothes made out of them. It's kind of cool that this fabric is now being used for feminine clothes in different colors as the Keffiyeh is usually worn by Arab men. The fabric is soft and cosy - I'm in on this one :)
