Wanted - Oversize grey blazer

 

When I find the perfect grey/melange slightly oversize blazer, my wardrobe will be complete. Sort of. This is a staple in the wardrobe of les femmes françaises and Isabel Marant is typically the master of the creation. I'm on a hunt for an affordable version and will report back when I find it.

Isabel Marant Heleri coat

Say hello to the Heleri coat from Isabel Marant. It's from the fall winter 2014 collection and has already been put to use by two favorite Parisiennes, Geraldine Saglio and Morgane Bedel. Somehow this simple quilted coat is the perfect piece of clothing, with or without a belt. Love.

Þessi hrikalega fallegi jakki úr vetrarlínu Isabel Marant er farinn að sjást á götum Parísaborgar og það eru ofurskutlurnar Geraldinu Saglio frá franska Vogue og Morgane Bedel frá franska Elle sem eru með svona góðan smekk. Þessi látlausi jakki er einhvern veginn hin fullkomna flík með belti eða beltislaus.

Top five for fall

Það er kominn september og haustvörurnar hrúgast inn í verslanir núna og það flotta við hausttískuna eru flíkur með alls kyns skemmtilegri áferð - ull, loð og leður er eitthvað af því sem ég hlakka til að klæðast. Grænir litir verða áberandi og svo er gaman að poppa dressið upp með smá glimmer og silki.

September is already here which means that fall fashion is piling up in the shops. Key concepts this fall are texture and contrast. Fur, leather and wool mixed with a little metallic and feminine silk will carry you slowly but spectacularly into winter.

Ég reyndi að að kaupa nokkrar Isabel Marant pour H&M flíkur á netinu... á meðan ég var að fylla út alls kyns upplýsingar, seldust flíkurnar upp ein af annarri... nema hvað það voru tvær vörur eftir í körfunni þegar loksins kom að því að borga og þetta leit allt út fyrir að vera of gott til að vera satt... þá var kortinu mínu hafnað.. Ég er bara að hugsa jákvæðar hugasanir núna ;) og segi sjálfri mér að ég verði búin að gleyma þessum fötum eftir viku. Góða helgi :)

I tried to get my hands on some of the Isabel Marant pour H&M items online.. they sold out one by one while I was busy feeding information to the shopping site but I managed to hold on to a couple of things all the way to check-out... but... as this was turning out too good to be true... my credit card was declined. I'm thinking happy thoughts now...and pretending that Isabel Marant for H&M never excisted. Have a great weekend :)

Are you ready? - Over the knee boots

Á maður að búa sig undir að ganga í vöðlum í vetur? Ég hef alltaf haldið að það væru bara tveggja metra háar franskar konur sem gætu púllað þetta lúkk almennilega en kannski hef ég rangt fyrir mér (kannski ekki?). Stígvélin á neðslu myndinni eru úr haustlínu Isabel Marant Etoile og aðallínan býður einnig upp á mjög flott há stígvél. Kannski maður skelli sér?

Are you ready to rock thigh high boots? I've always thought you had to be 2 meters tall and French to be able to pull them of, but maybe I'm wrong (...or maybe I'm right?). Isabel Marant Etoile is re-introducing them this fall and the main line has some pretty fierce tall boots also. I'm voting 'maybe' for this trend.

I didn't go to New York Fashion Week this time (or ever...) but have you noticed (on t.v.) that many designers that show up on the runway for two seconds at the end of their show, to take a bow, wear jeans and a t-shirt or something really, really casual!?

I always get so disappointed because I want to see what the designers - who are not models - would choose to wear from their own collections. All of the women above are on my favorite designer list and I love the pieces they are wearing in the pictures :)
