Fur for fall

Adding a piece of faux fur to your closet will instantly make you stylish and ready for fall, without ruining your bank account. Above you'll find some inspiration. I would go for the cream shaggy one from Lindex because it doesn't look very big, the cognac brown from Zara because I really like the color or the beige one from Topshop because it looks classic and expensive. 

Gervipelsar eru snilldar kaup fyrir haustið og þeir þurfa alls ekki að vera dýrir. Hér að ofan er hægt að sækja smávegis innblástur í pelsaflóruna sem má finna í tískubúðum bæjarins og internetsins einmitt núna. Ég myndi fá mér þennan kremaða frá Lindex þar sem hann er meira svona peysulegur, koníaksbrúni frá Zöru er líka á listanum því hann er svo flottur á litinn og svo þessi ljósi frá Topshop sem er algjörlega klassískur.

Designer Kate

Þá hefur nýjasta lína Kate Moss fyrir TopShop litið dagsins ljós. Þesso gullfallegi jakki hér að ofan er algjörlega uppáhaldsflíkin mín úr línunni. Það er mikið um kögur, blúndur og náttfatasnið hjá stelpunni -svona rómantískur hippafílingur með smá rokk ívafi. Hægt er að skoða alla línuna hér - Hún kemur í verslanir (erlendis?) 30.apríl. Ég vona svo sannarlega að þessi jakki rati til Íslands, hann er efst á mínum óskalista :)

The Kate Moss for TopShop collection has been revealed. The beautiful jacket above is my absolute favorite from the collection which is dominated by tassels, lace and pyjama inspired pieces. Very romantic bohemian with a sprinkle of rock 'n' roll. You can check out all the pieces here. The collection will arrive in stores April 30th. I certainly hope that at least this jacket will find its way to Iceland :)

Are you ready for - white jeans?

Undanfarin misseri hafa tískudrottningar heimsins sést hvað eftir annað í hvítum gallabuxum - Ég hef vísvitandi  leitt þetta lúkk hjá mér - bæði af praktískum og fagurfræðilegum ástæðum. Líklega þyrfti ég að hafa auka buxur með mér út um allt ef ég ætlaði að reyna þetta og svo er ég ekki viss um að minn íturvaxni rass taki sig vel út í þessum lit. Veðrið þarf greinilega ekki að aftra manni því skvísurnar í útlöndum eru í pelsum með trefla og regnhlífar við hvítu buxurnar. Ég verð að viðurkenna að mér finnst þetta sjúklega flott og er til í að gefa þessu séns og máta nokkur pör áður en ég slæ þetta út af borðinu. Grá peysa -jakki, stígvél og belti í svörtu við. Hvítar gallabuxur hafa sést í  Lindex, Zara og Topshop undanfarið, til að nefna einhverjar verslanir.

The past seasons, fashion muses have been seen wearing white jeans.  I have purposely ignored this trend, for both practical and aesthetic reasons. I would probably have to carry an extra pair of pants everywhere if I were to try this and I am not sure that my 'voluptuous' behind could pull of this color. The weather is obviously no excuse as can be seen above, since these ladies are wearing white jeans with fur, big scarfs and umbrellas. I have to admit that I am loving this look and I am willing to try on a pair before I give up on it entirely. Would wear them with a grey sweater and black boots, belt and jacket. Check out  Zara, Topshop or Lindex (for cheaper alternatives).

Cardigan/Topshop // Jeans/Acne // Boots/Acne

Væri til í að vera í þessu í dag. Klassískt og þægilegt en samt smá háskóla hippafílíngur. Geðveikur karamellulitur á Acne skónum og buxurnar pínu útvíðar, sem ég er alveg að fara að taka í sátt. Gollan er ómissandi með litlum vösum og leðurtölum. Jebb - Smáatriðin skipta öllu máli - sem bjarga þessu frá því að vera jafn boring og þessi sunnudagur ætlar að verða hjá mér ;)

I would love to be wearing this today. Classic and comfy with a college hippie feel to it. Love the caramel colored acne boots and the slightly flared jeans which I will probably be wearing before I know it. The cardi is a must, with little pockets and leather buttons - It's all in the details which saves this ensemble from being just as boring as my Sunday is turning out to be ;)

Animals

Vinstra megin á myndinni má sjá Acne Alma skó sem ég væri alveg til í  en hægra megin er það næsta sem ég mun komast og það á djók verði :).  Keypti parið á 1.200 kr. (Öruggara að taka fram að ég fékk parið á 1.200 ekki bara annan skóinn!) Ég fann þá í TopShop og hef á tilfinningunni að þeir hafi verið dregnir fram á nokkrar útsölur. Þeir eru þvílíkt flottir og hverrar krónu virði :)

On the left we have Alma from Acne which I wouldn't say no to but on the right is the closest I will get and for a ridiculously good price. Bought the pair for less then $10 (Safer to make it clear that it was the pair I got for this price not only one shoe). I found them in TopShop and I have the feeling that they have been dragged out for several sales. They are pretty neat and worth every dime :)

Basic Blazer

A friend of mine asked me today where she would get a nice but basic blazer. My instinct answer was ZARA because I am a high street fan and usually ZARA has a selection of them in a decent quality - which is a must. I have two blazers that I wear mostly to work. One black and one navy and they are both from Selected femme. I like the fitted ones the best and preferably short. A good blazer can dress up jeans and a T shirt in an instant and it is good to have it hanging in the office.

Vinkona mín spurði mig í dag hvar hún fyndi flottan svartan blazer jakka. Mér datt ZARA strax þar sem ég er mest að skoða ódýrari merkin og það eru eiginlega alltaf nokkrar týpur til í ZÖRU sem líta út fyrir að vera í ágætis gæðum -sem er algjört aðalatriði . Ég á tvo blazer jakka, dökkbláan og svartan sem ég nota aðallega í vinnunni. Ég keypti þá báða í Selected femme. Þeir eru aðsniðnir og frekar stuttir, það snið virðist henta mér best. Það er algjörlega hægt að breyta gallabuxum og bol ef maður fer í blazer yfir og mjög gott að hafa hann hangandi á herðatré á skrifstofunni og henda sér í hann ef maður þarf að fara á fund. (Filippa K merkið fæst í GK en ég veit ekki hvort þessi jakki er til þar).

Happy mother's day to all you mothers out there :) Above is pretty much all I need today. I'm searching for time to read those two books - the ultimate indulgence. A good cup of coffee would be highly appreciated also. My mother is spending mother's day with my daughter. They get along pretty well :)

Gleðilegan mæðradag! Hér fyrir ofan er allt sem ég þarf akkúrat núna. Ég þarf endilega að finna tíma til að lesa þessar tvær bækur, hlakka mikið til að njóta þeirra. Góður kaffibolli væri líka vel þeginn með. Mamma mín er með dóttur minni á þessum fallega degi. Þær tvær eru góðar saman :)

Lindex has made this quite cute copy of Carine's sweater dress. Available in white here. I got it on sale the other day, marked down three times - but then I got a parking ticket the same day which kind of spoilt it ;) I'm not a huge fan of copies though and think that they could be a little subtler sometimes - you know  - where you would be able to see where the inspiration comes from but there would still be difference. For two reasons -  It's never nice to wear something that screams COPY and second - well maybe the high street should encourage their designers to be a little more creative. I love Topshop for that. They are kind of doing their own thing. It's a pity I'm getting to darn old to wear their stuff :)

Love this casual look. There are pretty 'kimonos' everywhere that give jeans and t-shirt some edge. I've kind of grown out of the total 'I just rolled out of bed, bohemian look' - for myself but would keep some of the elements  -you don't have to add the jewelry :) (you can save the ring for another day) and the bag says 'business'(or doctor..).
